The party's over...thankyou all for coming. Beth and I had a great time and we hope you did too. Thankyou also for all the presents and cards we recieved.
Bearing in mind that it was a hat party, card message of the night has to go to Kev who wrote this little gem:
We were all bowlered over by your news. I think it's top, and I'm buffed for you both! I'm sure you'll both be showered with blessings - and durie say we never give you anything! I'm sure your party will be far from sombrero, and you mitre even find your pleasure has peaked. I look forward to seeing the smiles on your fez's.
Seriously though, Congrhatulations.
Cheers Kev, it certainly put a smile on my face!
We occupied the pub at 4pm, and I understand the last people left around 3am ish. What they did until they arrived back at mine at 5am is a mystery - although there's rumours involving John the barman and goldfish in a sink.
Well done to everyone for the fantastic hats. There was a great array and the hat swapping that ensued was enjoyed by everyone. Notable hats were Chris for his head dress, Rob for his Dr Zeuss, Gareth for his Fez, Anna for her..what are they called? In fact...too many good hats to mention them all.
However, the hat of the night award has been awarded to...
...wait for it...

Genius.
Notable gossip was Gareth, Matt, Bendy Nik and Lucinda. You put it in order yourself. I say no more.
The pub took about 8 times what it does on a normal Saturday night. We went in on Sunday evening for a quick drink but none was available - we'd finished up the Unicorn, XB, Enigma, Vodka, Gin and Brandy on Saturday.
Nice work.
Some photos are below, more are on the way. I didn't seem to manage to take any myself so I've stolen them all off other people.
The invite is still available here if anyone would like to admire Tamsin's design skills.
These pictures were taken by the "Official Party Photographer" (Happy Claire?) Claire Davies.
I apologise for not getting these up sooner...my ears have truly suffered as a result!
These photos are here thanks to Kevin Back. His other photos can be found here
Deploy decoy.
I'm more scared of Sue than I ever was!
Si looks strangly at ease with the whole pink-fluffy-situation
Double hatting - now that's clever
I don't know what Lucy's just done to Simon...but I think he likes it.

This seems to be a recurring theme with Gareth - see Kandersteg.
This is what Gareth calls "pulling".
Don't you think Chris looks slightly scary? Like Jason from BB when he was dressed as widow twanky.
They just won't leave each other alone!
Wife, sorry I mean hat, swapping
