morzine - skiing

I'd never been skiing before I met Beth, and now I can't understand why. I've lost track of the amount of people I've bored by telling them this - but you just can't get a better holiday. Excercise, fresh air, fantastic surroundings. All of that followed by beer, good food, wine and more wine before collapsing into bed. Can't beat it.

Beth's been skiing since she was 4, and I don't think I'm ever going to be able to swing my way down the piste the way she does.

I've never had proper skiing lessons. Nearly did once, but didn't (That's a long story that I won't subject you to). Beth taught me for a couple of days on a dry slope before I went to France the first time, and it's gone from there. I'd agree, therefore, that my technique probably isn't perfect, but I've managed to always make it down the slopes without hurting myself. So far.

I must also admit that most of the skiing I've done has been in the Portes du Soleil. This isn't really that bad because the area is so large, but the fact still remains that I've never been outside Europe. We're hoping to plan a trip to USA/Canada in the next couple of years.

Below are a couple of videos of us skiing. Both videos are windows media player.

Beth skiing down Les Linderets and then the Pleney. Apologies for my shouting!

Me trying to navigate the fun park in Champery with a considerable lack of style.
