House!
AZ Net is an AstraZeneca social club that meets every month or so. I've just realised that calling it a social club does it no favours whatsoever. It's not really as sad as it sounds.
Beth and I went along to Bingo in November, which is also not as sad as it sounds. There's few old people at Bingo. And they didn't seem to like the look of us "youngsters". Some of them looked very old - to the point I was hoping they didn't win as too much excitement could be fatal.
Could we keep up with them? Could we f**k. Some of these grannies are running two cards each and I was stuggling to find the numbers on one card. It wasn't just me either - all of us were having the same problem.
Whilst I don't plan on going again soon, I must admit that Bingo is rather fun. Don't knock it till you've tried it, as they say.
Christmas Party
Last night was the AZ Net christmas party. With free mince pies and mulled wine I knew this season opener was going to be good from the start.
And what a night it was. I'd never realised that Santa came from Yorkshire, and that he was such a fantastic dancer. Alas, I didn't get any pictures of him neither before or after he put holes in the knees of his trousers. And Kevin got to sit on his knee and get chocolate fingers. Enough said.
I didn't win at the raffle (I never do), but Sarah did win but didn't want to go and get the prize. There's just no justice in this world.
The DJ left a little to be desired (Think wedding DJ sketch, Peter Kay) and he kept tripping his speakers (integrated amps, never a good idea). But Party Girl Ruth more than made up for it - I'll be booking her for the wedding!
Oh, and if any of the organisers are wondering where all the decorations went then I reccommend they have a chat with Party Girl Ruth; see below. Click to enlarge, sorry about the quality.
